DISTRICT CONVENTION 2010
It is a New Year and time to be thinking about Lions convention. We will be having a joint convention with District C-1 and plans are going well. Last year our joint convention went well and we know this year will be another great convention. The theme is “HALLOWEEN IN APRIL” and we hope many of you will dress for the theme on Friday night.
The Friday night mix and meet will have entertainment, we promise better than last year. We will have the cash bar and hors d` oeuvres. We will again be having a SILENT AUCTION, so be sure to bring your item to be auctioned off. This auction helps to keep our convention costs down so don`t forget to get your club to donate an auction item. There will be many nice items for the attendees to bid on also.
Saturday morning we will have a breakfast honoring our Lioness and Leos. We encourage everyone to attend. If Lioness or Leos would like to present any awards this would be your opportunity to do so.
We have a full day planned with great forums, meetings, elections and FUN. We do have Candidates for the positions so come and vote for the candidates.
Sunday will be our Memorial Service. We will be putting together a slide presentation featuring our deceased members. We need from you a picture of your deceased member and a short blog about them. Please get this information to Lion Pam Schroeder as soon as possible.

Halloween in April is the theme for our convention. Do you have your costume ready? There will be trophies given out for three areas, to be determined by committee. The convention is just around the corner. Have you mailed in your
registration form??? It is due by the 20th of March, or the registration fee will increase to $10. Have you sent in your delegate form to Lion Gayle Morlock??? It has a deadline date of March 30 th.
District C-1 is again joining us for the convention. It was great having our convention together last year a nd meeting many great people with similar goals as our own. Saturday forums will be very informative. The business meeting will take place with elections of our Cabinet members. The ear lab to check hearing will be on site, and Lion Karla and her team will be doing computer training. We will again have the Auction to help offset the cost of future conventions. Be sure to get your item to convention to be auctioned off. We do make enough to keep our costs to Lion Members down; however we need the items to do this, so please help us out. Sunday will be our Memorial Service If your club has deceased members since our last convention forward a picture of the member and a short blurb about the member to Lion Pam Schroeder before March 20th. It will be a nice recognition of our members who are no longer with their club.
Come for friendships, fun, knowledge, fun and your clubs right to vote for the candidates. See you in Muskegon at the Holiday Inn on April 9 th. We have lots of fun in store for you. If you need a table to set up with

NOTE FOR NEW MEMBERS BEING REINSTALLED ON SATURDAY:
The conference registration fee is being waived for those new Lions who are being reinstalled. Also lunch is free to the new member, no $12 charge.
